Wednesday's the Day: City of Columbus Zoning Assessment Review
Plus a must-see presentation about demographic change.

We’re so happy we finally got to hang out!

Thanks for joining us at Land-Grant last week. We had a blast! Neighbors from throughout Central Ohio came together to chat about why we care about housing policy. Many people expressed their frustration with the current housing market as one factor pushing them to get involved. Housing is too expensive, and we need much more of it to meet demand.
This issue is so multi-faceted and we’re building a big tent of folks here at N4MN—Columbus who all care about different sides of the same complex challenge. If that sounds like you, please stay in touch and get involved!
EVENT: Zoning assessment findings presentation on Wednesday! This is a big deal, folks!

This is our moment. In part, N4MN—Columbus was founded to *mobilize* people to engage with this zoning assessment. Findings from a third-party report will be presented on Wednesday, and we *need* you there. The sessions are identical, so join the one that fits your schedule best.
In addition to the presentation, this will be an opportunity for the public to submit questions. While we may not know exactly what to ask yet, here are some potential questions you might want to consider submitting:
- How do these findings acknowledge the racist, classist, and exclusionary legacy of single-family zoning?
- How do these findings work to rebuild the lost population of our urban neighborhoods? Our historic city was built to house many tens of thousands of more people than it currently does.
- Is there evidence that these findings do not center the interests of single-family homeowners?
- Do the findings use an equity lens to evaluate challenges and opportunities?
